A long
time dream come true…..That's how we describe Dancin’
Donkey Acres. Now that
we have retired, my husband Jerry and I wanted something small to
work with. We first were introduced to Mediterranean Miniature
Donkeys in Spain some 30 years ago. These cute little critters
roamed the streets like dogs. Many years later we got one donkey
as a pet. When we finally moved to
Missouri
we built a barn especially for donkeys. Soon “Donkey Shopping”
became a favorite past time and our first purchase included 6
young Jennies and 2 older “Grandma” donkeys. Today
with a young herd, we have been able to get to know our girls and enjoy them. This
summer some of them will be having their first foals.
It is our goal to raise quality,
registered donkeys that will be suitable for showing in Trail,
Driving and Halter classes, and to raise and train them with a
firm but gentle hand. |
